What's In My Closet?

Today's question comes from Sharon over at Rose of Sharon. (Hello Sharon, thanks for reading my blog!)

Sharon wants to know:

Can you show pictures of your closet? Where do you house all your clothes, shoes and bags? My stuff is in my closet, in a wardrobe, in my dresser drawers and in boxes under the bed. I really wish I had a walk in closet!

My answer:

I do have a dresser that I keep my undies, bras, socks (I only have socks to wear with my work-out shoes and some knee-socks for my boots) pajamas, hose, tights, slips and tank tops in. But it is just a small dresser and it's not much fun to take photos of.

Now then, on to the fun stuff. My closet. Hubby and I share the closet. (I know!) Of course, I get more room in the closet than he does. But that is only because I have more stuff, lol!

On top, I keep my bags in large plastic storage totes. I find that these totes keep the dust off of things and they stay much cleaner this way. I do have a few bags that won't fit in a tote so they are just up on the shelf.

Then starting from the right side to left we have pashminas and wraps, fancy tanks & camis, dresses, tired skirt hangers (those ones that hold like 4 skirts per hanger) then we have my suits and then finally my pretty nighties that need hung up. under that, on the floor, are my plastic shoes boxes for high heels. Then beside those are 2 large plastic totes for sweaters. One holds winter sweaters, the other holds the 3-season sweaters.

Then over here is what you see when you fist open the closet. On the upper level are my boots and I have a tote of hankies and a tote of scarves. (hmm... for some reason I didn't get that captured on film... oh well). On the hanging rack are (starting on the left) blazers, long sleeve button downs, long sleeve tops, 3/4 length button downs, 3/4 length shirts, short sleeve button downs, short sleeve tops. Then there is space to keep the unused hangers separate. under the hanging clothes on the top rack I have my wedges lined up. Then in the open space, I have some of my flats.

on the second hanging rack, I have skirts. Then in the open space, more flats. That blue hamper and blue drawer thing are hubby's. In the basket on top of the drawer thing is where I keep my labels and marker for my shoe bins & totes. That way everything is nice and labeled.
